Update on MCP usage and Meta Profile Restrictions

Mar 9 2026

A few conversations around Meta bans and MCP-based workflows have been gaining traction online.

We want to share what we know.

A few users have reported that their personal Facebook profiles were banned or restricted while using MCP-based workflows. Based on what we understand so far, this appears to affect the personal profile tied to Business Manager access, not the ad account itself.

We have not seen reports of this issue from users using GoMarble Agent. That is why GoMarble Agent is the path we recommend right now.

We still support MCP and believe in open agent workflows. But if you are using MCP inside Claude or similar tools, you should be cautious if your setup depends on a personal Facebook profile connected to Business Manager.

We also want to be clear: we have not seen evidence from Meta confirming that GoMarble itself is the cause of these restrictions.

For transparency, we’re attaching screenshots of our approved app scopes and recent renewals below.

If we learn more, we’ll share more.
