Every ad page shows the creative, the ad format (single image, video, carousel, document and so on), the advertiser and who it was paid for by. LinkedIn adds a note that an ad may have several versions that look different on mobile and desktop.
For ads targeted to the EU, the page goes much further. On a German-language ad we opened, it showed:
- Run dates — "Ran from" the first impression to the last.
- Total impressions as a range, such as 10k–20k, and impressions by country.
- Targeting — the top targeting parameters the advertiser selected, such as language and location, with targeted and excluded values across audience, demographic, company, education, job, and member interests and traits.
That EU targeting data is the most valuable thing in the library for B2B research: it tells you which job functions, seniorities or industries a competitor is actually paying to reach.
