What is MCP for ecommerce marketing?
MCP is the Model Context Protocol — an open standard that lets an AI client call external tools and read external data in a structured way.
GoMarble MCP is an MCP server that connects supported AI clients to marketing data and workflows in GoMarble. For ecommerce that means Shopify orders, products and customers alongside Meta, Google, TikTok, Bing, GA4 and Klaviyo.
The specific problem this solves for ecommerce is the denominator. Meta reports conversions it believes it influenced. Google reports its own. Your store reports orders. These never reconcile, and decisions made on platform-reported ROAS alone quietly optimise toward the number the platform can see rather than the money you actually took. GoMarble MCP puts store revenue in the same conversation as ad spend so the question can be asked against real orders.

GoMarble MCP workflows for ecommerce marketing
Jobs marketers actually want done, rather than features. Each one is a single natural-language request.
Compare ad spend to real revenue
“What did we actually make from Meta last month, according to Shopify?”
What GoMarble MCP does: Pulls Meta spend for the period and Shopify orders for the same window, then compares against platform-reported conversions.
What you get: The gap between what the platform claimed and what the store recorded, which is usually the more useful number.
Diagnose an order decline
“Orders are down this week. Is it advertising or the store?”
What GoMarble MCP does: Reads ad spend and delivery, GA4 traffic and behaviour, and Shopify order data for the period and the one before.
What you get: Whether traffic fell, conversion fell, or orders fell without either — each pointing somewhere different.
Find products absorbing spend
“Which products are taking ad spend without producing orders?”
What GoMarble MCP does: Joins product-level advertising data to Shopify order data for the same products and period.
What you get: Products worth pulling support from, and products worth more of it.
Find your best acquisition creative
“Which creatives are driving actual orders, not just clicks?”
What GoMarble MCP does: Reads creative-level ad performance and compares against store orders rather than platform-reported conversions.
What you get: The creatives that produce revenue, which are not always the ones with the best CTR.
Check customer quality by channel
“Which channel brings customers worth having?”
What GoMarble MCP does: Reads Shopify customer and order data alongside channel attribution and Klaviyo engagement.
What you get: Whether a cheap acquisition channel is producing customers who repeat, or one-time buyers.
Analyse a promotion
“How did last week's promotion perform across ads, email and the store?”
What GoMarble MCP does: Pulls ad spend and performance, Klaviyo campaign metrics and Shopify orders for the promotion window.
What you get: The full picture of a promotion rather than three partial ones.
Check acquisition cost against value
“Is our CAC rising faster than customer value?”
What GoMarble MCP does: Compares acquisition spend and new-customer counts from Shopify across periods, alongside order value and repeat behaviour.
What you get: Whether rising CAC is a problem or a reasonable trade for better customers.
Produce a revenue-led summary
“Summarise the month — spend, orders, revenue and what changed.”
What GoMarble MCP does: Pulls advertising, store and lifecycle data for the period and compares against the prior one.
What you get: A summary built on orders rather than on platform-reported conversions.

Why use GoMarble MCP for ecommerce marketing?
An API gives AI access to data. GoMarble MCP gives it the marketing context and workflows needed to work with that data.
Revenue is in the same conversation
Connecting an ad API alone leaves you optimising toward platform-reported conversions. Store orders on the same connection change what you are optimising for.
Product-level joins are already there
Matching advertising to products means joining catalogs, campaigns and orders. That is the work, and it is done for you rather than by you.
Customer value, not just acquisition
Shopify customer data and Klaviyo engagement sit alongside ad performance, so a channel can be judged on the customers it brings rather than the conversions it claims.
Store problems become visible
An order decline caused by checkout rather than advertising is indistinguishable inside an ad account. It is obvious the moment both are readable.
Writes are governed
Ad-account changes are proposed and routed through approval gates. Store data is read-only.
GoMarble MCP for cross-platform marketing analysis
Marketers rarely decide anything from one platform. GoMarble MCP can give AI a view of the wider marketing system rather than forcing it to reason from one disconnected source at a time.
| Combination | What becomes answerable |
|---|---|
| Shopify + Meta Ads | Read Meta spend against real orders and see the gap against platform-reported conversions. |
| Shopify + Google Ads | Join Shopping and search performance to product-level revenue and margin thinking. |
| Shopify + GA4 | Separate a traffic problem from an on-site conversion problem before touching campaigns. |
| Shopify + Klaviyo | Follow acquisition into retention and repeat purchase, which is where ecommerce profit actually lives. |
| All channels + Shopify | Compare every channel on its contribution to orders rather than on its own reported conversions. |
How does GoMarble MCP work?
| Step | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | You ask a question in natural language |
| 2 | The AI client works out what information it needs |
| 3 | GoMarble MCP retrieves the relevant marketing data and tools |
| 4 | GoMarble supplies the marketing context around it |
| 5 | The AI analyses the result |
| 6 | You get an answer, a recommendation, a report — or a proposed action |
Write access is plan-dependent. On the read-only plan you can connect a client and analyse supported accounts without making changes. Where write access is enabled, changes are proposed rather than applied directly — every write tool in the server is a propose call, and consequential actions route through the permissions and approval gates configured for your workspace.
